Winter Weather Update from Best Trash

With the latest snow forecast for Tuesday, Best Trash will be closed for regular operations tomorrow.

Please see the revised schedule below for the tentative schedule for the rest of the week.

  • Monday: We will run a regular service day.
  • Tuesday: Closed.
  • Wednesday: Delayed start.
  • Thursday: Delayed start.

Note: If the landfills close due to inclement weather, we cannot run our routes on those day(s).

The guidelines are subject to change depending on the actual weather conditions.

If we are unable to run our routes on your scheduled service day, your pick-up will be on the next scheduled service day.

If plants die due to the weather, they will be considered storm debris and handled accordingly.

Rayford Road MUD Waterline Replacement Project Update: January 7, 2025

The Rayford Road Municipal Utility District (MUD) is making significant progress on the waterline replacement project. As of today, January 7, 2025, construction continues within Imperial Oaks Boulevard.

Upcoming Construction Areas

Once the work on Imperial Oaks Boulevard is complete, the project will transition to the following areas:

  • Medway Drive
  • Thorsby Drive
  • Mercoal Drive

Specific Work Addresses

The waterline replacement will directly affect the following addresses within the work area:

  • 2002-2130 Medway Drive
  • 30102-30118 Thorsby Drive
  • 2002-2127 Mercoal Drive

Residents in these areas can expect temporary construction-related impacts, including noise, road closures, and potential interruptions to water service. The MUD will strive to minimize inconveniences and provide advance notice of any service disruptions.

Boil Water Notice Rescinded – Friday, October 18, 2024

Street(s) affected: 1368, 1364,1372, 1362 Havelock

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system Rayford Road MUD (PWS#1700334) to issue a Boil Water Notice to customers affected by a water main break.

Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of Friday, October 18, 2024.

Upcoming Construction on Imperial Oaks Boulevard

Construction within the Imperial Oaks Boulevard, from Rayford Road to Haven House Drive, is anticipated to begin December 9th. The staging area for the equipment will be at the dead-end of Sekola Lane and Glenboro Drive.
